Captain Kid's has brought together an assortment of water related models and kits that are all designed for learning, creativity and just plain fun!  The building of a model or kit can be a great individual or small group activity.  All of these products are selected to be simple enough for children, but challenging enough to keep an adult interested.

Fantail Launch II

The Fantail Launch is typical of a small open steam yacht that was common at the turn of the century.  This model boat builds quickly due to simplified construction techniques and can be built as a display model or as an operating radio controlled boat.  The Fantail has been designed to be powered by the Model VI Steam Engine.  Both Kits available at Captain Kid's!

Model VI Steam Engine

This amazing Steam Engine really works!  Kit contains both the single cylinder oscillating engine and the boiler and will run for 10 to 15 minutes at a time.  Kit can be built as a stand alone model or used to power the Fantail Launch II.  No guy can resist this item and can built it with no prior metal or woodworking experience.  Adult supervision recommended for children.

Catamaran Boat Kit

This is a problem solving boat kit.  There is no right or wrong way to make this boat.  The image to the right is Captain Kid's finished project and yours will vary based on the designers creativity.  This educational kit actually races across the water when completed.  Great for individual or group projects.  This kit is for ages 10 and above.

Cosmic Rocket Kit

Assemble your own 6" rocket.  Fuel it with vinegar and baking soda and watch it blast off!  Kit includes rocket, launch pad and instructions.  Launch should be performed by parents or by ages 14 and up.

Magic Rocks - Crashed UFO

Remember being a kid in the 6o's and how cool your friend was because he or she had a fishbowl with Magic Rocks growing in it.  This kit contains all the materials to grow Magic Rocks including the display tank and paintable Crashed UFO (paint and brush included).  Magic Rocks!  Still cool!

Cyclone Tube

Create your own cyclone in a bottle!  This item allows you to connect two plastic 2 liter bottles together.  Fill one bottle with water, then flip the bottle so the water is in the bottle on top.  When it empties into the lower bottle it creates a cyclone!  Each piece in a polybag with instructions.  comes in four assorted colors.
